Ukraine

Picture a map of the world. ¿Where is Ukraine?

  1. Were you right about where Ukraine is?

  2. On a scale of one to ten, ten being exactly right, one being totally off base, how accurate are Americans, on average, about where Ukraine is?

  3. What story does this map tell?

  4. Why do you think that is so?

  5. What is a consequence of this?

  6. In the map exercise, at least 7 people pinpointed Ukraine to be in the continental United States. Do they think Ukraine is a state, or do they not know where the US is; and which would be worse?

  7. Does it actually matter if Americans know where Ukraine is or not?

  8. In the comments section, list what country's location Americans would get most wrong, and what country (besides our next door neighbors: Canada and Mexico) we would get most right?
